About Leicester Square
Leicester Square is a pedestrian only square in the West End of London. There is a small park in the middle where people like sitting, but it is best known for being a centre for cinema. It is surrounded by some giant movie theatres, and is the place for film premieres in London. There are also some plaques with movie star handprints, similar to Hollywood. Leicester Square also has the official half-price West End Theatre ticket booth (called ‘tkts’) as well as a number of independent ticket sellers in the surrounding blocks.

After touring the Tower, WWII underground bunkers, Buckingham Palace, The Mall, Downing Street, etc; enjoy yourself with a relaxing afternoon in Leicester Square. Sit outdoors or by the window in a spaghetti house, enjoying a meal and glass of wine and watch the multi cultural hordes stroll by. You will find yourself enchanted and relaxed by all you see. The spaghetti houses are inexpensive and good food. Located near most theatres for an evening show (or matinee). Then a train ride home for a good night's sleep.

Strategic point to be at in London when the sun goes down and one is between the age of 17 and 20, is Leicester Square.
Good meeting point, party point, major nightclub
clutter, thrilling, chic, shabby-chic. This is where the son's and daughters's of the wealthy british empire offspring drink on the tabs of their parents. Very cool and very in.
Just don't expect anything, enjoy the ride.

Awesome, Love this place - the proximity to China town adds a cool dynamic + the Leicester Square Casino - the one right on the plaza - is a hidden jewel - the food at the asian bistro there and the night bars are great - once you get past the not as tuff as it looks security you are in for a treat!

Very busy but I love it....street performers, plenty of eating places and Theatres to go and see your favourite shows....outstanding, everyone is happy even though it is very, very busy......I would recommend Leicester Square to everyone......a must place to visit if you are a tourist.

Awesome music and street performances at night! Movie theater where London movie premieres take place. Tex Mex restaurant for American's wanting some Mexican food. And Equinox---a pretty cool nightclub. A place you can always find something going on at night in London.
