About Oxford Street
Oxford Street is Europe's busiest and densest shopping street, with an estimated 200 million per year looking at and visiting over 300 shops spread across its 1.5 mile length.
Oxford Street has the second highest retail rents in the UK, after New Bond Street, although the stores generally tend to aim for the mid-market. Many retail chains have their flagship stores on Oxford Street, and major department stores include John Lewis and Selfridges. Payment Accepted:

May 15, 2008 Visiting London? Oxford street offers a wide choice of stores and vendors from which to get quality clothing and accessories among other items. Buy souvenirs from your london trip from small stalls along the road. Check out the large stores offering a variety of perfumes, shoes and everything that a world ready shopper would have on their shopping list. When planning for shopping in London and especially on Oxford Street; dress comfortable. To see all the sights and visit all the stores, wear comfortable shoes, and well, when in London, never leave you umbrella. And if Oxford Street does not have all you need, Baker Street runs right across so, shoppers have another street on which to unleash their fury. When you become hungry, you can have your pick of traditional fast food outlets, including British favourites such a Pret-a-Manger, who serves sandwiches among other wraps. In London and especially on Oxford Street, one can never be short of food choices. Needing to get around to shop? Cars in central London are not necessarily a great idea, especially not in the W1 zone where Oxford Street is locatd. Rather, you can find many traditional double decker hop-a-long buses to get you from place to place. Additionally, with main tube (subway) stations along the road, shoppers have choices in getting back to their homes. For those shoppers who prefer to be tourists, their are tour buses that take you around the city including a touristy drive by of Oxford Street. London, though pricey can be a great place to shop, and of course the end of summer is a good time to get great deals, for clothes still en vogue, but at a cheaper price. Additionally, why not wander futher away from the hum of the main London street and find small markets from which shoppers can find great clothing bargains. After all, who is to know if you don't tell! Jul 28, 2008 EITHER YOU ARE MALE/FEMALE OR YOUNG/ OLD... THIS PLACE IS A SHOPPING PARADISE!!!!!! U'LL REGRET IF U DIDNT COME HERE! May 5, 2010 Any time I've gone to London I always make my way to Oxford Street at some point to go shopping. The selection of stores is incredible! I usually only ever come away with a pair of earrings or some sunglasses (I always break mine), but it's still a lot of fun to window-shop!
