This is one of the most gorgeous cathedrals that I have ever laid eyes on. The architecture is fascinating as well as the history. The Cathedral is located in the oldest part of the city near the River Thames. The funeral of Sir Winston Churchill occurred here as well as the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana. One of the most unique features is the Whispering Gallery. If you stand on one side of this circular platform and a friend stands on the other side, they will be able to hear you whisper from forty-two meters away. Also take the time to walk to the top of the stairs. It is quite a trek, but well worth it to see the wonderful view of London. It is open from 8am until 4 pm Monday through Saturday. Admission is GBP10 for adults.

I love St. Paul's (and anyone who ever watched "Mary Poppins" will remember it. However, I will suggest that you check to see if it will be closed on the day you want to visit (they hold special events all the time). I also suggest that you head over there when there will be a service. If you go to worship or observe the service, you won't have to pay the steep admission fee and most of the time you can spend time afterward looking around. Another suggestion...if you're scared of heights or don't do small spaces (spiral staircases) DON'T GO UP TO THE GALLERIES OR DOME!!!

I think we all owe a big thank you to the marvelous architect, Christopher Wren who designed Saint Paul’s Cathedral. This masterpiece of neo-classical architecture is truly awe-inspiring and beautiful. Within the cathedral is the architect’s tomb inscribed in Latin, "Reader, if you seek his memorial, look about you". It certainly is a fitting tribute to Christopher Wren and a treasure for us all. A "must-see" in London. Good Journeys!

Sir Christopher Wren's most impressive building. Stunningly grand and ornate both inside and out. The whispering gallery is an amazing room, and the cathedral is full of smaller rooms and corridors you can explore within the higher levels.
However be sure to go mid week and not during the holidays. Huge numbers of loud tourists may ruin your experience. Entrance inside the cathedral is also quite pricy.

St. Paul's Cathedral is a good replacement to see the whole of London when you don't want to pay loads of quid and wait for ages. I do have to tell you that you'll be nearly death after walking all the stares if you're not that into sports! But it's worth it! I thought it was cool!!
