Description:
The Tate Britain museum is devoted to British art from the 1500 to present day, differing itself from the exclusively modern focus of the Tate Modern, and the international focus of the National Gallery. The collection includes British themed art, British born artists, and works that were composed in Britain. Major works by artists such as Hogarth, Gainsborough, Turner, Blake, and Constable are on display. In particular, the Tate Britain’s collection of Turner’s works is unrivalled, with thousands of drawings and hundreds of paintings in its collection. Many of these can be found in the Tate Britain’s Clore Gallery.
