Prison
The Clink was the popular name for the prison attached to Winchester House, the former home of the Bishops of Winchester.  The prison functioned until 1780 and was perhaps the oldest prison in England.

The Clink Prison Museum tries to recreate the prison and prison life.  A series of cells containing exhibits such as a torture chair, a whipping post, and other torture devices are spread out over 5,000 square feet of exhibition space.  The whole area is dimly lit by candles and covered in sawdust, while groans emanate from wax figures.  Various punishments are depicted and informative historical information is also provided.  There are some items that you can try on as well such as a scold's bridal.

The Clink prison makes for a worthwhile short diversion if you are in the area. There are some interesting exhibits and depictions of punishments and torture devices used during medieval London, as well as some history about the Clink itself. The museum is fairly small for what you pay though as 5 pounds seems a little steep, but that price is not hugely out of line for London.
