The Peak District was the first national park in England. It is an area of natural beauty in upland England. It is accessible and appeals to all ages and levels of activity. It is possible to visit ancient villages, castles (Chatsworth and Haddon Hall), see livestock markets (Bakewell), literary locations, and to participate in outdoor activities.

There's so much to do, and the cost of vacationing here is so much lower than London. Combine a visit to the Peak District with the rest of your trip to the UK. How about a festival in summer? Fresh local food, clean air- what more could you need?
