The Museum of Science and Industry is one of the most interesting places to visit in Manchester if you are interested in anything that works. There is a huge hall for different exhibits like airplanes, railway engines and coaches, power, industrial machines, scientific inventions, etc. that are worth seeing. The museum was built on the actual site of the old Liverpool Road Railway Station which was in use till 1975 as a goods station till British Rail finally stopped operations from here.

This is a museum devoted to the development of science, technology and industry, and particularly the contributions that Manchester has made in these fields. Most of the exhibits involve transportation, power, sanitation, textiles, communications, and computing.
