The Farne Islands are one the best places to get close to some of Englands sea birds. The National trust paths on the island take you within feet of Eider ducks, Puffins, Cormorants, Kittiwakes and many others. Seals also call the islands home.
To reach the islands you must first get a boat ticket from the private companies in Seahouses, then pay the National Trust visitors fee once you reach the islands.
