Take the bus tour around the town. If I remember rightly there is a special bun that is only made there... it is quite good... but it is still a bun. Plenty of places for scones and tea and all VERY historic. I also did a river tour too.. that was fine too. Walk around the university, I was trying to find a yank friend of mine (Hi Peter) who was studying Chinese culture there at the time... he did end up with a very posh English accent for quite a while. Plenty of nice little speciality shops for touristy shopping all over selling stuff from handmade lace to teddy bears/dolls.

Wow, Oxford is one of the most beautiful cities in England! Many interesting museums, colleges, historic buildings, lovely cafes can be found there. Oxford University is amazing and moreover is one of the oldest (XIII CENTURY) in Great Britain. Other than that a must see is Bodleian Library (the oldest in Europe), Carfax Tower, Ashmolean Museum, Oxford Botanic Gardens...if you like plants :)
You wont regret it!

It was fantastic, I had never been to a university before, and to start with such a magnificent place like Oxford was incredible.
The buildings were sublime, you felt like it was the place where you could just run into the writers of your favourite books like Tolkien and Lewis, because it seemed the time had stood still.

Oxford University is divided into many different universities. Christchurch Collage is the one of most interest. Here the Harry Potter movies war partly shooted and it was the place where Alice in Wonderland was written. Really cool cantine if you have the opportunity to enter!

Lovely campus. Great old English history. Great for architectural photographs. The tour of the campus was worth it. Wish I could have seen Oxford's library since it houses over 1 million books.
