I was in Edinburgh in the beginning of October, so it wasn't that cold. One of the best places in Edinburgh itselfs was for me the Calton Hill, because you can see the whole city and even the sea. A very good place for taking pictures of the city. At the same day we did a haunted tour for 7£, we got the student price, but it's not really worth. Because they talk a lot about the history and ghost storys and they go with you to the bridge and just show you a little bit of an old room. So I was a little disappoinent, the pictures were so promising in the beginning!

I got to Edinburgh off the bus from Manchester at 6:30am. It was too early to go anywhere or check in to my hostel, so I decided to go up Calton Hill and catch the sunrise. It was gorgeous! I was there in November, so it was pretty cold, but it was nice to see Edinburgh wake up from such a great view point. You can also see the Nelson monument and the parthenon-like National Monument while you're on the hill.

It is such a nice place! My favourite one! You can look all over the whole city, you can see the Castle of Edinburgh, and Arthur's seat. You can see the ocean, and it is just a very nice place to be after shopping, it so calm there, and........ I just love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Calton Hill provides a great view over Edinburgh and offers a rest from the bustle, unexpectedly rough and wild and seemingly endless right in the heart of the city. A wonderful place to rest and think about anything and everything.

It is quite a walk to the top of the hill, but from here you have a nice view on Edingburgh. Here you can also find Nelson Monument which was under construction when I was visiting Edinburgh.
