What more can be said about the worlds largest arts festival. It's technically many festivals all happening from July to the end of August. Stage shows, Street acts, Stand up comedy, exhibitions and just a plethora of creativity. there is something for everyone, with shows from free to stupidly overpriced. My only advice is to grab a festival guide and make a list of everything you want to see, and then hope you have enough time and cash to see it all.

This is the place to be in August every year. You will certainly find all the amusement and entertainment imaginable, The copious amounts of food and beverage available will also be sure to leave you satiated. If I could be in Edinburgh for this festival every year, that's where you'd find me. Have Fun! Good Journeys!

Gloomy place, but beautiful if you get away from the city center. The castle tour is (though packed with tourists) a lot of fun, and the tour guides are a snarky lot (but in a good way). Hike Arthur's Seat. Also, visit Chocolate Soup and have some cocoa while you're there. Best cocoa I've ever had.
