The Strathisla Distillery is a fine example of a typical scottish distillery. The old thatched building itself is pretty, the tour is okay and the whisky excellent....but then again, this IS Scotland after all. The reception we got before the tour was very nice: We got there all dirty and tired from hiking in the highlands and immediately got pushed into comfy chairs and got fresh tea with shortbread biscuits. All served by a very nice young lady. That and excellent whisky...what do you want more?

Oh what great spirits! (pun intended) Nice tour. I recommend the cask strength 15yo sherry cask. Delicious
