Awesome place to hike, run, etc. but the bears still give me the creeps... Start hiking near the botanical gardens for a tame start! They can be accessed easily from Tudor Road, just follow the signs. The Chugach is really varied, from swampy lowland forest to right up above the treeline!

I spent more than a few nights on and around Chugach Mountains. Some challenging trails, beautiful vistas, and nature at its very best. Trust me, a camera is a neccessity for a venture here. Good Journeys!

It has got to be the most beautiful place on this earth. The thick green forrest, snow covered mountain peaks, wildlife no matter where you look. It's peaceful. It has hiking trails, glacier lakes, clean air and a view to die for.

unlimited adventure!  skiing, mountain biking, climbing, hiking, sight seeing, paragliding, glissading, berry picking, sledding, camping.....
