Mount McKinley (Denali)
About Mount McKinley (Denali)
Situated in Denali National Park, Mount McKinley (also known as Denali), is one of the seven summits of the world, and is the tallest mountain in North America at 6,139 metres (20,320 feet).
Mount McKinely is bulkier and rises more than Mount Everest, with a rise of 5,500 metres (versus 3,700 metres.) The area is extremely cold, and its high latitude reduces the amount of oxygen available, making it an intermediate to advanced climb. The mountain features two prominent peaks, the taller South Summit, and the North Summit. The south peak was first attempted by Judge James Wickersham in 1903, but the mountain was not successfully climbed until 1910. The most popular route is the West Buttress Route. Payment Accepted:

Oct 27, 2008 I spent two weeks at Denali in 1984. It was two of the most enjoyable weeks of my life. The vistas were indescribable in their beauty and scope. I was hiking with two friends and we sat each evening looking out over the world in awe. As novice climbers, we did not reach the summit, but we never intended to. Our purpose was not to conquer the mountain, but to live the experience and that we did. Jan 3, 2009 One of the greatest mountains of the world. take a flight with a small plane from Talkeetna, it is so spectacular to be flying near to the mountain tops. You can even go with a plane that has skis and lands onto the glacier near the basecamp of Mt. Mc Kinley - a wonderful experience.
