Made famous in John Wayne movies, the drive into Monument Valley is like heading into a different world. The rock formations and desertscape is hard to describe without seeing it yourself. A horse ride with the Navajo is one great way to see part of the park. As this is Navajo Nation, they're the only ones who can legally guide you and take you into certain parts of the park.

the most wonderful place I have ever seen, horserided with the Natives. Had dinner with the natives' wives, sang in the cavern and slept under the stars. Amazing!
