Nov 7, 2008 Jonesboro is a simple small college town. Home of the Arkansas State Red Wolves(formerly the Indians). If you happen to be passing through or spending a little time there then make the short drive to Valley View which is just on the outskirts of Jonesboro proper. Visit the Crowleys Ridge Nature Center. There is plenty there to interest adults and children for the afternoon. Be sure and see the *movie* on how Crowleys Ridge was formed. It is well worth the short wait. Outside there is a nice little hike to the overlook. When you are done with the hike, movie and all the interactive displays head on over to Craighead Forest Park. It is a lovely little lake with great hiking and biking trails. You can rent a paddle boat or bring your own kayak. There are several very nice and modern playgrounds for kids. When night falls drive downtown Jonesboro and eat at the Brick Oven for some good eats, drinks some live music. Enjoy! Related Links
