This was my sanctuary when i was in graduate school in Los Angeles. It is a marble paridise surrounded by the city. You park and then take a tram to the musuem compound, the tram takes you up into the mountains with a great view of the city along the way. Once at the top you are surrounded by white marble and gardens. It is a vacation without really leaving town, allowing you to sit and relax or waunder the galleries and gardens.

As a Classics lover, this place gives life to all the things I have studied. It is wonderful way to see the intricate details in full scale and detail. The museum also shows off some wonderful ancient materials. If you are a Classics enthusiast who wishes to see a villa in full scale, this is a great way to start.

I love going to the Getty, it's free and you can either bring a picnic and eat near the parking structure or eat at the museum cafe, either way great views, there is a tram that takes you up to the museum. Bring walking shoes lots to see.

very worthwhile and intriguing venture. it's quite the reliquary of amazing architecture and art. Wear comfortable shoes, it does require some walking, and bring a good camera ;)

Wonderful place for anyone, who likes modern art and architecture. Definitely worth seeing and experiencing. Be prepared to do a lot of walking, both inside and outside.
