Depending on the time of year, this park can be almost unbearably busy. The main park area is flat and grassy, making it a great place for a picnic (with an amazing view). The park also has a small beach popular with local divers. If the park is too busy, the surrounding area is equally breathtaking. Drive past it and park on the road further down. There is a great walking path that follows the cliffs with beach access to the beaches below. The beaches here are rocky, making for great tidepooling, some of the best I've ever encountered on the Monterey Bay.

Its okay, you can go kayaking and look at the otters, you could surf but there are better places in Monterey for that, and the water is really cold!

The marina and fisherman`s wharf are a great place to hang out if you like seafood and people watching!

I did my first triathlon at Lovers Point, Monterey. Total awesome experience.

A great place to spend a couple of days with lots to do year round.
