Very fun at night, there is a lot to do and great people watching. Taking a stroll around the lake is a common activity among couples because of the beautiful scenery and quietness. There are theaters, food, entertainment, and much more. I highly suggest visiting here.

Lake Merritt is a nice setting right in the city with a walkinig path around it. Nearby is Jack London Square with good dining and some pleasant shops. Nice place for bird watching, yaught watching and catching a ferrry to San Francisco.

This shopping and dining area is saving Oakland from a further decline into crime and urban degradation and may in fact help bring it back. It's also a good launch point for urban youth crew and other rowing activities.

The Jack London's cabin is pretty and also the metal wolf in the middle of the street. And it all has a nice seasightseeing that's worthy.

It's a great place where you can relax by walking, running or just lay down on the grass and enjoy the sun.
