Oct 22, 2008 It's important to note that McAfee Coliseum is no more. McAfee's stadium naming rights deal expired recently and the stadium has reverted back to being Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. I attended an Oakland Raiders game here in November of 2007 against the Houston Texans. First off, if you consider yourself a Raider fan, you MUST at some point in your life go to a Raider home game here. If you have the coin, get yourself tickets to the Black Hole section (the south end zone lower level seating) and make sure you dress up! There is no experience quite like an Oakland Raiders home game. People are dressed up, you get to hang with characters like Gorilla Rilla, Voodooman and Darth Raider, along with a bunch of rowdy Raider fans. If you are a fan of the other team, I would not advise you to attend, us Raider fans are a bit fanatical and as the game goes on and we get more drunk, we get violent. Overall, I like the stadium. Obviously the atmosphere is great if you're a Raider fan, but also the stadium is very easy to access. It sits right next to the freeway, so it's not hard to find, and if you don't feel like dealing with the parking lot crowd, you can catch the BART to the stadium, there's a pedestrian walkway that connects the BART station directly to the stadium. In fact, when I went I caught the BART in from Daly City and saved myself a ton of driving and headache. Inside the stadium is nice, nothing fancy, but it had good sightlines and there's plenty of concession stands. It's not a great stadium for smokers, there's really only a couple smoking areas and they get packed at halftime. But I'm going to be a bit biased, the Raider game I went to was probably the most fun I ever had, so I'm always going to have fond memories of the Oakland-Alameda County (formerly McAfee) Coliseum. Jul 23, 2008 It's AWSOME!!! I personally LOVE the A's so it's cool to go there and see the game!!! You can also see the Raiders there!!! Related Links
