You can go up on the mountain with a cable car. On the top you get a great vieuw on palm springs. Very nice walking trails on the top. Beautiful nature and very quit. I was there in may '08 it was 30°C in Palm Springs and on the mountain there was still snow.....

The aerial tramway is a breathtaking ride. Palm Springs itself is dumpy, spare a day of greens fees and go up the mountain, where the vegetation grows naturally.
