Aug 22, 2010 Came here with friends last year and came back again a couple days ago. It's a pretty winery with nice picnic grounds and a marketplace to buy breads, spreads, coldcuts and cheeses (a bit like Viansa in Sonoma). Their wines are only sold on premise, and they have a number of sweeter wines like their top selling gamay rouge and their moscato, which is great for people like me who like sweeter wines. :p They are usually insanely crowded, possibly because they offer food on top of wine, and there is usually food sampling going on. I had their sandwiches for the first time and was very surprised. They are much better than I'd have expected! Worth a visit if you want some food to cut through all the wine tasting, and the grounds are always pretty to wander through. :) Oct 8, 2010 The V. Sattui Winery is a nice place to go for a picnic. It's pretty picturesque and they have a cheese and deli shop too. The winery does various tastings as well, and is quite popular. You can purchase the wines after (or before the tastings). I like dessert wines, so I came away with some Muscat and Angelica. Jan 18, 2009 V Sattui is a family run place along the main road in Napa Valley. They have great wine with free tastings. Better yet, they have an amazing Deli, and picnic tables outside. It is a perfect place to pick up some wine, cheese, bread, etc and have a picnic.
