Jun 19, 2008 There are some great places to eat. I recommend Mexican. There's a bakery that you can smell before you see it. A candy shop that has tons of old fashioned candy. You can watch them make salt water taffy. My favorite place is the Old Town gem and mineral shop. This is what the website says Old Ttown is home to 9 Quality Hotels 32 Restaurants 106 Speciality Shops 12 Art Galleries 27 Historic Buildings Sites Old Town San Diego State Historic Park Heritage Park (Victorian Homes) Presidio Park Sheriff's Museum Old Town Trolley Tours Mormon Battalion Visitors Center Feb 7, 2010 San Diego, gas lamp district really nice as well as the wharf. what i like about San Diego is that it has alot of hidden gems in downtown and you feel like you touch a piece of history when you go down by the water, but i have a strange fear/attraction to the ocean anyway Feb 13, 2010 San Diego is just so fun and classy, had a great time over there. Old town, as well as Balboa park and Downtown San Diego are must see's!!
