Getting there:
Walking Directions from the Civic Center BART/MUNI Station:
The museum is located 1 block west of the Civic Center station. Leave the station by the Grove Street exit. Proceed upstairs to street level. Walk one block north on Hyde to Fulton. Make a left on Fulton. Walk one block west (toward City Hall) on Fulton to Larkin. Make a right on Larkin. Enter the museum at 200 Larkin Street.
From the East Bay:
Cross the Bay Bridge and exit at 9th Street/Civic Center. Follow 9th Street which turns into Larkin. Go two blocks. The Asian Art Museum will be on your right, between Fulton and McAllister. Enter the museum at 200 Larkin Street.
From the Peninsula:
Take 101 North and exit at 9th Street/Civic Center. Follow 9th Street which turns into Larkin. Go two blocks. The Asian Art Museum will be on your right between Fulton and McAllister. Enter the museum at 200 Larkin Street.
From the North Bay:
From the Golden Gate Bridge, take Doyle Drive to Lombard. Follow Lombard to Van Ness. Turn left at McAllister and go two blocks to Larkin. The Asian Art Museum will be on your right between Larkin and Hyde. Enter the museum at 200 Larkin Street.

Very hugh museum located in Downtown SF!
If you are interested in Asian Culture, visit it!
Always changing expositions - when I was there, it hosts a Ming dynasty expo with rare art from china!
(bring your student ID - that makes the whole thing much cheaper!)

I love their cafe and of course all of the exhibits there :) I'm surprised not many people have been there in the bay area. It is definitely a must-see place if you are visiting California and in particular San Fransisco~!
