I've been to this museum as a child in the mid-seventies and as recent as 2001. It's still one of the coolest museums I've been to.
Full of ancient Egyptian mummies artifacts it also has a full-scale replica of a burial chamber.
The museum grounds itself is a blast to walk through. Beautiful architecture and gardens.

One of, if the not the, greatest Egyptian museums on the West Coast. Went there as a child on a field trip and even going back now, it is still astounding and fun to see the mummies that you always read about in history books and see on the movie screen.

A little bit of Egypt in San Jose! A comprehensive museum of Egyptian history and culture. It is worth spending a few hours exploring.
