The Tech Museum is not your typical science museum. Instead of looking at exhibits, The Tech allows you to interact with them! In addition to regular exhibits, the Tech features limited engagement exhibits.

Drive and park at Adobe Systems ($5 flat rate parking -- enter from Park Avenue) or take the VTA Light Rail and get off at the Convention Center stop.

I have been going to the Tech since I was a child and love their regular exhibits just as much as the special features they get every year. The staff is welcoming and friendly and really encourage visitors, both adults and children, to interact with the exhibits versus just looking at them. I also love attending IMAX movies which are shown in the same building in the Hackworth Dome.
