A trip to Santa Barbara isn't complete without visiting the most beautiful park in the city. In the morning, the park is quiet and serene, making it a perfect spot for yoga and tai chi. Towards the afternoon, more families appear to play at the nearby Alameda Park and picnic next to the koi pond (which is also packed full of water lilies and turtles). It's also a great place for plant lovers. A beautiful botanical garden, most of the plants are drought-tolerant. Maps are provided through out the park's paths, labeling the many different specimens. Even though it's a small park, between walking the plant-ridden pathways, watching the koi and turtles, and relaxing in the sun, spending half a day here is easy.

I just love Santa Barbara,,,,if you go join a whale watching group on a 40 catamaran,,,,,you will not regret it!!! Heaven on earth this city,,,eclectic,,,for young and old. The mountain backdrop from the pacific coast line is remarkable,,,,,do it and have no regrets as I did,,,,,,,,,
