I love downtown Santa Cruz. It's full of unique shops, artwork, street performers, and you can people watch for hours on end. You never know what you'll see or hear, which is what makes it so much fun. Sure, there are homeless and runaways roaming around, but they usually don't bite.

The beach was wonderful and the vibe in Santa Cruz reminded me of a place that I grew up in Colorado. It was like Boulder, but on the coast. Loved it.

It's kind of fun to walk around and you get to talk to the locals (50% of which are drug addicted or mentally unstable), whether you like it or not.

Loving the atmosphere.. go check the boardwalk and all the little boutiques and people and oh, it is wonderful!
