About Yosemite National Park
This park covers an area of 3,081 km² (1,189 square miles) covering much of the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountain chain. Yosemite is internationally renown for it's incredible granite cliffs, waterfalls, crystal clear streams, and gian Sequoia trees. It was designated a World Heritage Site in 1984, and almost 95% of the park is designated wilderness. Yosemite attracts over 3.5 million people each year.

one of my favorite NP in the USA... probably because of the chance i had to go there several times and each time with special people. Half dome is my favorite place to be when i am there, i almost reached the top when a snow storm forced to back up. next time i will go earlier to be sure to avoid the first snow of the season :-) the fact to maybe see some bears is also an exciting reason for me to hang out there!!! yosemite rocks (ahahah) i mentioned the Half dome but this NP is full of great places... just check it out!!

I spent a couple days in Yosemite NP. It was my first NP in America and I really enjoyed it. We went there with a group, it was part of our tour with Trek America.
We went to see some waterfalls. First to see the Vernal Falls and then to see the Nevada Falls. It was great. Not like being at the Niagrafalls where everythings is made for tourist, no you really where in nature.
There was only a little wooden bridge at the Nevada Falls to get across. And also just a little fence at one side,so you wont fall down looking down the fall. It was great.

The most beautiful national park in the U.S. While Yosemite Valley is the main attraction and most popular with tourists, the rest of the park is just a beautiful and spectacular. Try driving north to Tuolumne Meadows or south to Mariposa Grove. The best time of year to visit is in in late spring, when the snow is melted and roads are accessible, waterfalls are at full flow, the air is still clear, and the summer crowd hasn't yet hit.

Truly lives up to all the hype. Probably my favorite national park in the US. If I had the means, I could easily spend the whole summer exploring it. Glacier Point, Nevada Falls, Yosemite Falls, Mariposa Grove- just a few highlights. Convenient and free shuttle system in Yosemite Village.
