Vernal Fall is an easy hike 1.2-mile (one way) hike from Happy Isles along the Mist Trail. You can take the shuttle or walk from Curry Village or Yosemite Village to the trailhead in Happy Isles. You can then continue on the Mist Trail/John Muir Trail to Nevada Fall. It's about 2-mile from the top Vernal Fall to the top of Nevada Fall. One of the most scenic trails in Yosemite National Park and the top of Nevada Fall is simply splendid!

Great short day hike that most people can do. Go in the spring when the water flow is at peak. If you have the energy keep going to Nevada Falls and then you can get great pics with Liberty Cap in the background.

Really amazing hiking over here - follow the mist trail from the visitor centre and you will feel the Vernal Falls, then go up with them and finally gaze into the deep at the very point where the fall begins.
