At 2,525 feet (739 metres) from the upper falls to the base of the lower falls, Yosemite is the highest measured waterfall in North America and the 6th highest waterfall in the world.

The waterfall is divided into 3 sections:
  • Upper Falls - a 1430 (425m) drop
  • The Cascades - a series of smaller plunges in the middle section
  • Lower Falls - a 320 feet (97m) drop.  This is a region that is accessible from the valley floor.
The upper falls can be reached via a moderate-strenuous 3.6 mile (5.6km)  hiking trail.

Yosemite is a beautiful National Park (albeit a bit crowded at times) with stunning nature. The waterfalls (you can swim in some of the waterfall lakes) are awesome.

Falls are in high mountains. They are very impressive to watch from right bottom how they fall. And trees are very tall and some are huge!

You can walk to the base in a short 10 minute hike. I highly recommend it in the spring when the water is at full flow. Truly amazing.
