Visiting the Cliff Dwellings at Manitou Springs is a fun, cultural activity within driving distance of Denver and Colorado Springs. It is a great place to take kids. The authentic Anasazi dwellings are amazingly preserved from their creation more than 700 years ago. The park has traditional Native American dancers and a really nice visitor's center gift shop.
