Keep driving even though it seems like you aren't going the right way. You will go through a couple neighborhoods before you reach the park.

We visit this beach/park every time we are in New Haven. You can swim there during the summer but even during the winter it's a neat place to walk around. There's a playground and some swings that the kids enjoy. And it's free which makes it even better!

Also, there is a lighthouse! Very pretty to take pictures of.

Looking for a classic New England lighthouse? Check out the one at Lighthouse Park. But make sure you stop for pizza at Modern in New Haven before you leave the city.
