Jan 31, 2010 Nice place if you are looking for the old settlement. You can still see the old architecture still standing in good shape. The feel that you get as soon as you step out from downtown is completely amazing. Its a sense of relaxation. One can enjoy the shopping or the movies or on a good summer day enjoy the water front or just take a stroll through the old neighborhood and enjoy the sitings. Not to mention the C&O and capital crescent trail entrances are just outside the waterfront. Or do kayaking!! Sep 20, 2009 Georgetown can be phenomenal. The almost endless night life, seemingly unlimited shopping, culinary possibilities, and the architectural eye candy, all make for a fantastic visit. When in D.C., I always find time to visit Georgetown. A fantastic place to make some great memories. Good Journeys! Feb 4, 2010 Nice place but parking is not easy within the town and it is very pricey to park your car close to the shops. Best to park out of the main shopping streets and just walk in instead. A lot of designer/boutique style shops so expect to pay a lot for your purchases!! Worth a visit though if you have some spare time on your hands! May 24, 2011 I am not sure what I expected, but I certainly didn't expect to see the same stores that you get in almost every US mall. The architecture is pretty cool, but the sameness of the stores and restaurants was a bit disappointing. An okay place to visit, but nothing special Jan 11, 2010 Just a few minutes from the US White House and the US Capitol; tons of restaurants and shops in this area; very diverse; historic spots to take pictures; a few minutes from the Virginia-DC borderline, which gives you the opportunity to visit another state in the U.S.A.
