The John F. Kennedy Space Center is a government facility for scientific research into space.  The space center is America's busiest launch and landing facility.  When you visit, you will be able to see the extensive preparation involved in takeoff and landing for space shuttles, including the fleet of Discovery, Atlantis and Endeavour, as well as a number of communication and surveillance satellites.

Visit massive luanch pads, the vehicle assembly building, and the Apollo/Saturn V Center, see live theatrical shows, attend a Astronaut Briefing, walk through full-sized space shuttles, the astronaut hall of fame, and more.

It is the Kennedy Space Center that launched astronauts such as John Glenn, the first American to orbit the earth, and Neil Armstrong, the first human to walk the moon.

The Centre offers guided tours of its facilities.

The Centre is open every day of the year except December 25, and on launch days.

Defo worth the visit! There's a Saturn V rocket full size there, impressive!

If avionics or anything concerning outer space interests you, the you must visit Kennedy Space Center. They have many actual spaceships on display there, and you can even walk in some of them to get a better look at what the astronauts had to squeeze themselves into. The bus tour takes you by the dormitories, the really tall building where the rockets are assembled and later rolled over to the launch pads (the size of that building will leave you with your mouth wide open). There's even a simulated control center from the Apollo flights where you can see how everything is set up, and you can "feel" the simulated rocket take off. It's really cool and definitely recommended.

There isn't much else at Cape Canaveral is it is just a village built around the Space Center so if you visit you need to go here to amuse yourself. The tour around the Space Centre is really good as they cover alot of detail and take you to alot of key places around the base. On the tour you can visit the Launch command centre, a launch pad and replica models of the Apollo mission Saturn V rockets. One of the best features is that they are even open on launch days and if your lucky you can actually see a real live launch!

It has been a long time time since I visited the Kennedy Space Center, but I recall how it stirred my imagination and how impressed I was with the accomplishments of the space program. I also remember thinking that if man could go to the moon, then man could accomplish whatever he set his sights upon. I still think that. I guess the Kennedy Space Center really made an impression on me. Good Journeys!

The best thing of Orlando are the atractions. In a short distance you can find Nasa (Cape Canaveral), and Universal Studios... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cape_Canaveral http://www.rankeen.com/Directorio/orlando,_florida.php
