Walt Disney parks for small kids, Universal parks for grown-ups and adults.
Try to visit when NASA has a scheduled rocket launch.
Cape Canaveral it's about 50mi (80km).
If you think you will be late for the launch stop by Titusville, it's a great place to watch the launches.
If you prefer bikes and cars to rockets just go northeast and visit Daytona.
For beaches, drive west and try Clearwater Beach, the water temperature it's amazing, opposing the beaches at the Atlantic Coast

Great family destination, but also great party down. The downtown area is developing and Orlando is becoming a real "big' city. Very clean and great weather especially during spring. A bit warm during the summer moths and it can get chilly in the winter. Typical attractions are: Disney, Universal and Sea World. Well worth the time.

A real Mickey Mouse kind of town. The airport is a former Air Force Base that was named McCoy. That's why your luggage tag has MCO on it instead of something that makes sence like ORL. I lived on the base as an infant, but I wasn't born there.

This town has to have more commercial attractions in the area than any place else. You can also see gators in the wild and manatees though, and Clear Water isn't far away. My favorite playground.
