The most remote place you can be in Maui. The drive is horrendous, but SO worth it! You travel past multiple turn-outs with waterfalls and death-worthy cliffs. Camping is worth saving the HUNDREDS of dollars to stay at the resorts. See the black sand beach! It's something you will never forget.

Volcanic rock (basalt) that has weathered to form the sand on this extraordinary beach.  There is also a red sand beach, which is really cool.

It's just beautiful, few people and you can enjoy the beauty of the nature - the color skale of green, black, blue...

Absolutely beautiful. The water is turquoise and vibrant in contrast to the dark lava rock.
