Situated in front of a row of super expensive houses, public access is supposed to be via Kalihiwai Road, although a visit there seemed to show a sign that said "private road, no access to 'Anini Beach."

Those who do make it to the beach however, are rewarded with views of one of the prettiest beaches on Kauai.  It is also one of the safest places to swimming, as it is protected by a long fringing reef with very shallow waters.  The beach is popular for swimmers, snorkelers, and windsurfers.  It is possible to camp in the area as well.

'Anini Beach was once called Wanini Beach, although the W was lost at some point, and the new name stuck.

Getting there:
From Kuhio Highway, turn onto Kalihiwai Road between mile markers 25 and 26, and take the left turn towards the end on 'Anini Road.
