Take Farrington (93) to Waianae past Nanakuli. Makaha beach is just before the valley and has a large Apt building on the beach at the far end. Usually lots of cars parked around.

A common dive site for boat and shore, this area is covered with arches and short tubes for diving or snorkeling in and around. There is some surge, but not bad. Also, a great place for spotting Honu (sea turtles). Careful, it is illegal to touch or harass, but bring a small bag of frozen peas and you might get to see them snack.
