Mar 17, 2010 This place is amazing! It is an entire street block dedicated to the culture of the Basque people. You can go and eat Basque food in the cafe or buy it at a store. There is a museum where you can go and learn more about the Basque people and buy souvenirs. All along the street there are carvings of names of Basque families who have given money to help support the block and Basque folk songs. Once a year, during the summer, the block holds a festival where food is sold and you can watch local groups, like the Oinkari dancers, perform. Also, every five years, there is an even larger festival held called Jaialdi. If you've ever wanted to explore different or rare cultures without going too far from home, this is definitely the place for you.
