It's a big lake, and makes for a great view from Michigan Ave, local restrants, work or just a picknick. Also there are plenty of places where you can take your boat out to the lake and just relax. There are even a couple of mini cruz boats that will take you out on the lake for $30 or $40 dollars. Next time your in town, and shoping, dinning or just haing out. Stop by the lake and enjoy the view.

When you're at the bank of Lake Michigan it's very hard to believe that it's just a lake because you can't see the other side of it. This is a great place to have picnics, beach volleyball, roller blade or just take a long walk during Summer!! I love it!

Gorgeous place with the beach and the city and the boats and everything is just right there - love it, love it, love it! Mind you, I was there in the summer and it may not be as breathtaking in winter but probably still peaceful and picturesque. Recommended!

we took a boat trip round lake michigan and the skyline of chicago looked stunning!! To get to the lake we had to go on the river first and we learned that the river has had to be reversed as it was so polluted.
