This was a great trip to take when you only have a day or two free. Also, Starved Rock is pet friendly. Our dogs loved climbing all the stairs and rough terrain. The park is full of signs explaining the history or the area, I believe it would be a great place for families to visit. I don't have children but, you can tire the kids out with all the exercise and fresh air and get a little education too (the tiring out part works on dogs, I know that for sure)!

Visit Starved Rock State Park and enjoy camping, hiking, wildlife watching, beautiful landscape..... the list goes on.
