Crowded, tacky, commercialized, kitschy - this is the glory of the Ocean City boardwalk. On crowded, hot summer nights there is no better venue for people-watching. It's definitely sensory overload, with the guitar-playing teenagers, hollering small children, rowdy high school grads, carnival games buzzing and beeping, carousel music, and the smells of cotton candy, fried dough, burgers and Thrasher's vinegar-laden french fries all permeating the humid air.

The boardwalk is great. it is not as busy as the ones you see in NY or NJ but has business and eateries that compliment the atmosphere. I find it to be peaceful and beautiful and the air of the ocean is amazing.

Early morning, before the teenagers and twenty-somethings have crowded it with too much cologne and drunken antics this is one of the most peaceful places in OC. Take a walk, stop by the Lifesaving museum and head to the beach.

Reminded me of Santa Cruz, CA. Nothing was better than lounging around the beach to cool off in the summer and get on the rides at night. It was all great till the thunderstorm came =]

Ocean City's version of a main street is on the boardwalk. Great food, great environment before midnight. In the summer it has a carnival at the end and sand sculptures on the beach.
