There is nothing better than to walk around downtown detroit and then enjoy a nice cup of coffee at Campus Martius. Located in the center if the city, it is walking distance to all the major locations in Detroit like the Riverwalk, Greektown casino, theaters and restaurants. The city also does events there, like a iceskating ring in the winter and music festivals in the summer time.

I know hearing the phrase "Downtown Detroit" is sometimes enough to keep the suburbanites away, but the winter season turns Campus Martius a fun, pretty safe place to go ice skating in the city. One of the city's nicer places, but I'd still go in a group.

Free lunchtime concert series in the summer, ice skating in the winter; what more could one ask for?!?
