Oct 5, 2009 Mall of America has been changing it seems the stores and mainly the entertainment venues have smartened up and are tending to make going there more of an interesting experience than just being the biggest. I recommend eating outside the mall nearby or bring your own, most of the dining places that can be found are most anywhere and are overpriced. As a local I go here for specific events or unusual entertainment as for shopping I only go when I want to splurge on something nonspecific. It is too large and would take too much time to do regular shopping there. Besides many of the same stores are closer. There are some neat stores that are interesting. I got over the big factor the first time I was there. The basic stores that are everywhere bore me. Essentially it is a square, the lower level an aquarium you walk under, the next 3 floors a mix of basic stores dotted with interesting ones. In the middle an amusement park and the top floor only covering a portion of that level with entertainment. Places to eat are dotted here and there with food courts on the 3rd level. At each of the corners lie major department stores. People get lost because of the size and the sameness not the layout. Aug 28, 2008 I would definitely recommend it if your traveling through Minneapolis. But, if your not into shopping skip it. There is quite a variety of stores to choose from. Such as, an expensive pen store, a toy store, a paper store, clothes stores and many others that expand on to four different levels. However, there is a small indoor amusement park in the center of the mall, along with an aquarium. For younger children there is a Snoopy Camp. Which is a daycare in which you get to hang out there all day with Snoopy and his Friends. Tip: When hitting this hot spot bring plenty of cash and walking shoes. May 13, 2009 Mall of America is very cool. It is also very large. It takes a couple of days, at least, to see everything there. This says a lot since I am not a shopper by nature. The aquarium in very nice. I really enjoyed it. Spend your money on it and avoid the Minneapolis Zoo. It is the worst I have ever seen .....Seriously, they have a chicken in the rare bird exhibit. Also, you can check out some cows, horses, deer. If you are looking for exotic, you get buffalo and monkeys. That's about it. Jan 26, 2009 What? Has the cold gotten to your brain? Mall of America? Did I get to vote on this mall. O.K., it is big. Is it the biggest? If you say so. Does it look like every other freaking mall in America, once you are inside? Uh, yeah...only more irritating than most malls...because it is choked with the local retards and tourists. How about Mall of Minnesota? Or, better yet...Mall of Bloomington. Seriously...whatever. Feb 11, 2009 My boyfriend an I went to Minnesota for a baseball game and we stayed in a hotel by the Mall of America. It was awesome! We were never bored, with over 500 stores how could you be? Plus there was a small amusement park, movie theater and many restaurants in there as well. We went for four days and had a blast. We went back 5 months later for a weekend and had a great time as well. We will be back there! Related Links
