Unlike the masses who normally throng to Vagas for the shows, parties and gambling, I decided it would be more fun to charter a helicopter and fly up over Lake Mead, the Hoover dam and eventually up the Grand Canyon. We landed on the canyon floor, went for a hike then came back for a champagne picnic. The flight back ended with an evening flight up the vagas strip.
Was it expensive? unfortunately yes. Was it worth it? every cent :).

Stretched for time, don't drive, fly! Maverick Helicopter tours are so professional and fun. Pick up at your hotel (by bus, not chopper lol) depart from airport for a birds eye view of The Strip, Hoover Dam and of course Grand Canyon. Chopper lands inside the canyon with magnificent views of the Colorado River. Champagne and snacks provided. Highly recommend this tour and specifically Maverick.

Absolutely breath-taking. I wasn't afraid of heights before visiting here, but now I'm afraid! The scenery cannot be given justice in pictures. It's a must see in person.
