About Greenwich Village

It's still neat, but has definitely become gentrified and yuppified - the Village's bohemian days are long gone unfortunately due to the super-high costs of living in the area, but it's still worth worth visiting if in NYC - A definite "Must See": be sure to check out some great street b-ball - take the subway and get off at the West Fourth Street–Washington Square subway station at Sixth Avenue, walk upstairs and there you'll see the West 4th Street Courts, where you'll catch some of the best players in NYC -- even better, it's awesome entertainment for free =)

Every type of restaurant, bar, or store you can think of you can find in the village. You can't go to the Village and not find something that you want, or something that you didn't even know you wanted. And I have no shame, I love to people watch. You get it all in the Village. I'm a native New Yorker, and I still get lost in the Village. But that's the fun of it all. Some of the most fun I've had is deciding with my sister/friend to "let's go get lost in the Village".
