who doesn't like NY... well i don't lol. nothing against the city but teh big life and fast past isn't really for me.. ive been to India and Nepal and a few Caribbean islands and while the diaspora there is huge the lifestyle has changed drastically. its a great city for you fast paced shoppers but maybe just a weekend visit for those chilled out guys and girls out there

The good of New York: The Metropolitan, the shows of Broadway, MOMA, The view from the Brooklyn Bridge, cultural diversity and friendliness of habitants. The new york bad, the noise of subway, ambulance and police sirens, are unbearable, the chewing gum stuck to sidewalks, super stocking all, live only in Manhattan for 18 million people ...

A week is not long enough. Get a metro pass and utilise the subway or buses. Subway is efficient and safe but limited views, gets to museums etc on time. Buses are slower but you just jump on/off when you see something interesting.

If you don't have plenty of time to spend in NYC, then take a bus tour to sightsee the most outsatnding places there. Then, go on a ferry tour to The Statue of Liberty. You can grasp an insight of NYC in just one day.
