Just a delightful place to people watch. We were there in early December when thousands of people gathered. Free entertainment. Lots of fun. The Rockefeller center is a shopping complex located in midtown where you can basically shop.
From the top of this skyscraper,you can have a WONDERFUL view of the downtown of Manhattan- you can see the statue of Liberty as well- but also of central park, the upper west and east side.The view is absolutely incredible !

I love everything that Rockefeller Center has to offer. The view from Top of the Rock is one of your best options. While I love the Empire State Building, I think it is better to be looking at it from the Top of the Rock. Besides there is much more room at the top.

I love walking the streets of NYC, good food, and lots to see. Stay away from the touristy areas if you don't like crowds. If going in December to see the scenery, best to do it during the weekdays. Weekends in December are a nightmare.

Great in the winter time when there is the ice skating rink and the big tree! And good morning america is right around the corner. a really lively place to visit in the city! good shops and restaurants around too..
