The best of this place is walk during de sunset, and see the city and Brooklyn Bridge. A nice thing to do is croos travel brigde by walking and have some ice cream in a Brooklyn Factory... is amazing taste the ice and see manhattan.. to back to island, the best is by subway...

Its the "South Street Seaport" btw. Lots of fun, lots of restaurants around pier 19 which is also a mall. Bodies exhibit is here. Go into the cobblestone alleyways for better, more authentic new york restaurants and bars.

The Sounth Street Seaport is not a place I would rush to in New York, only because there are so many other cool things to do, but it's Ok for shopping at Pier 19 and some pretty good restaurants and bars

You can take a boat from this seaport out to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. There are a lot of fun street venders. It is a really great place to walk around, shop, and then catch a boat.
